As a girl born and bred in the Bay Area, I consider myself a Northern Californian, at least compared to those in SoCal! But recently I took a road trip to Eureka and beyond with my parents, and I realized... I'm not as far north as I thought.
The towns up there have an interesting flair; they're filled with lots of vegan eating options, organic coffee and great amounts of greenery. Where in the Bay Area the trendiness is carefully calculated and perfectly placed, in the "true North" the vibes are unintentionally and almost accidentally on point.
As is always the case on Welingkar Family road trips, we bring too many snacks, try to accomplish too many things, and end up eating, invariably, at the only Chinese restaurant in every small town we visit. This time around was no exception. Hope you enjoy! (There are a lot of pictures, bear with it please, haha.) Any q's about what you see, ask away!
