Pre-made Can be Delicious?

Hey folks, didn't go too much of anywhere this week, so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to tell you what I thought of the make your own meals this city has to offer.

Before my mom left for the states, I checked out what the local Sainsbury's has in the way of pre-made food. It's nothing in comparison to Trader Joe's at home, but it's no chump change either. Italian, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, you name it and they have it. So I got a bit of everything and decided to test it out these few weeks. Here's a little of what I've gotten through!

Falafels & Hummus: Nothing like those from Mediterranean Wraps on California Ave, but they'll do in a pinch. Not bad at all, really. The hummus is quite good, too.

Stir Fry Veggies & Noodles: Okay for sure, and SOO cheap. That's nice to hear about. Don't use too much oil and you'll have a tasty treat in minutes.

Chicken Tikka and Naan: The chicken tikka is so good for being microwaveable. The naan isn't as good. Chicken tikka folks. It's magical.

Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni: Difficult to spell, difficult to eat. But surprisingly good. I've never had a problem with spinach and this didn't give me any.

Spaghetti Bolognese: Another difficult one to spell. What is it with Italian food? Average to say the least.

Easy Cook Glass Noodles: Way more dry and paper-y than I was happy with. I guess only the Bay does Asian food the way it should be done.

I've yet to try a few more dishes, so bear with me while I get through them. Thanks for reading, and hope you had a good weekend!
