I've only been at Cal for three Fall semesters, but it's enough for me to know that they're the tougher ones, compared with Spring. The best part of the semester, by far, is Thanksgiving break, though for some reason when we come back it's suddenly the last week of classes and I'm wondering where the time went.

This break I went home pretty early, and had time for a walk up to Mount Davidson. I mostly took pictures of leaves so... here you are.

A few days ago, I sent in my vote for the President of the United States for the first time. It was an honor and a privilege to not only vote, but vote for a woman-- something I've been dreaming about since I was a little girl. Granted, a good amount of what Hillary has done and said I do not agree with, but politics is nothing without compromise.

It's easy today to think of escape: "which country can I legally move to?" "what's the process for secession?" "is it possible to sleep for four years?" The reality is, though, that none of these are solutions. Altogether, our generation voted 504 - 23 for a candidate who could be a champion for so many-- women, people of color, LGBTQ+, refugees, low income families, and much more. This is promising! But it's meaningless if we don't put in the work. Lots of work.

Don't let this election deter you from that work. We have a long road ahead of us! We have a lot to fight for! We have much to fix! Let's do it together.

Flowers This Week

I'm going to valiantly pretend that the last time I posted here wasn't June.

I'm back at school again, and this time it's senior year! I cannot believe life in college has passed by this quickly, but then again, I guess I can. It doesn't make sense and it does all at once. (Can you tell I'm taking a philosophy class this semester?) I thought the most perfect way to ease back into school, and blogging, would be to get a bunch of flowers and shoot them. BUT, my roommate's boyfriend beat me to the punch, and brought her a bouquet just 'cause. (EW, right? But also, cute.) They're very photogenic, so I hope you enjoy!

Old flower posts can be found here. Have a great Wednesday, everyone! I'll be back soon :)
